NTRIP (Network Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol) is a protocol for distributing Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) data, such as GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and Galileo, over the internet. It allows users to access GNSS data streams from a network of GNSS base stations and reference stations, and to use this data to improve the accuracy of their own GNSS receiver. NTRIP is used in a variety of applications, including surveying, mapping, and machine control. The data streams provided by NTRIP can be used to correct for errors in the GNSS signals caused by atmospheric conditions, multipath, and other sources of error.
